Join us as we introduce to you what we believe will be possibly 3 new grapes to your palate: from Le Marche, Sardinia and Puglia. Come meet Russ Lorber, Importer & Founder, Wide Roots, as we visit these three regions with wines for you to taste.
About the wines, choose any 3 to taste:
Hiso Telaray Alberelli de la Santa Negroamaro Rosato Salento IGT 2019 - A beautiful rosé wine. Hints of salmon in its color, this wine bursts with fresh strawberry flavors and floral aromas, complemented with a crisp acidity. Outside of Puglia a rosé of Negroamaro is an unusual wine that beckons the delights of the Puglian traditions.
Tenimenti Spinsanti “Sisto V” Spumante Brut Pecorino - A sparkler from the hottest grape in Italy. Made from 100% Pecorino grapes, and winemaker Catia’s magic touch, this dry sparkling wine has bright acidity, fresh apricot and pear notes, and herbal and acacia characters. Pairs well with oysters and hard cheeses. Woman owned and produced.
Audarya Nuragus di Cagliari DOC 2020 - A rare, ancient variety difficult to find outside of Sardinia. Audarya takes great pride in its Nuragus, a historic grape unique to southeast Sardinia. This brilliant wine is crisp but soft; fresh citrus and peach, floral, and elegant. Pair with seafood and a beach view.
Rocca Nero di Troia Puglia IGT 2020 - Great value, off the beaten path. A very deep ruby red hue with notes of ripe red fruits and cherries with hints of spices and tobacco, this wine showcases Puglia’s high quality, indigenous Nero di Troia. This wine is perfect for lamb and pork dishes!
We hope to see you at Simpatico in the courtyard to explore these amazing wines! Cin Cin!
